SPRINGER is a product brand of Chusovoy Metallurgical Works JSC (member of OMK Group of companies), Russia. Consistently holding about 2/3 of local market for commercial vehicles, Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (CMW) remains the leader in the segment being at the same time one of the largest springs production plants in Europe.
CMW plant was founded in 1879 at the very heart of Ural region. Since 1973 it is specialized in springs manufacturing. The plant consists of four main workshops: foundry, springs production, ferroalloy workshop, limestone extraction and processing line. More than 2,600 high qualified employees work here.
Now CMW is the leading manufacturer of automobile leaf springs. The plant produces more that 4 thousand models of leaf springs and separate spring leaves for trucks and light commercial vehicles, pickup trucks and trailers. CMW offers to its clients leaf springs for both leading European and Asian brands of motor vehicles: Mercedes, MAN, Scania, Volvo, Renault, DAF, Iveco, Isuzu, Howo, Shaanxi and many others.
Springs manufactured by CMW are well-know to customers and industry professionals for its quality and reliability. CMW is the only plant in Russia and one of the few plants in the world that produces leaf springs from its own strip and controls the quality at every production stage. The plant constantly upgrades manifacturing facilities, equipping it with the most modern and highly efficient equipment.
The plant is founded by French-Russian company as one of the most modern manufacturing plants of those times.
The plant specializes in production of steel for tractor springs. In 1936 Chusovoy metallurgical works (CMW) becomes the first producer of ferrovanadium in the country.
The construction of the largest spring production line in Europe is finished. Just 5 years after that CMW’s springs are already well known to every specialist in the country as the product combining low price with the high quality.
CMW becomes part of OMK group of companies. Its production lines are streamlined with modern equipment by HDV Kuczpiol GmbH, Boysis, Zwick GmbH, Hartford, Bredtmann-Girke Industrieofenbau GmbH, Wheelabrator Gmbh.
The product range of CMW’s springs for foreign automotive brands get new brand name – SPRINGER – to provide clear positioning, ensure visibility and even more quality guarantees to European customers.
